Advanced Liposomal Delivery in a Convenient Liquid Format

Transform conventional liquid formulations into next-generation liposomal syrups and oral drops designed to enhance the delivery, protection, and performance of selected active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), vitamins, minerals, and nutraceutical actives.

Why Choose Liposomal Syrups & Drops?

  • Enhanced Bioavailability: Liposomal encapsulation can improve the dispersion and absorption potential of poorly soluble or sensitive actives.
  • Active Protection: Phospholipid-based vesicles provide a protective microenvironment that can help shield actives from degradation.
  • Improved Palatability: Flavouring, sweetening, and taste-masking strategies can improve acceptability, particularly for pediatric and geriatric applications.
  • Flexible Dosing: Liquid systems enable convenient dose adjustment and are suitable for applications requiring low or individualized doses.
  • Patient-Friendly Delivery: Easy-to-administer syrups and calibrated drops offer an attractive alternative to conventional solid dosage forms.
  • Differentiated Product Positioning: Liposomal technology creates opportunities for premium, innovative pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and wellness products.

Our Development Approach

WBCIL develops liposomal liquid formulations through a science-driven, formulation-to-finished-product approach. Key development stages include liposome formation and API encapsulation, particle-size optimization, homogenization, purification, concentration, and stabilization, followed by incorporation into the final liquid dosage form.

Where required, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) can be employed for removal of residual solvents, unencapsulated components, and low-molecular-weight impurities while enabling controlled concentration and buffer exchange.

Critical Technical Parameters in Liquid Compounding

From formulation science to market-ready liquids, every parameter matters. Our liquid compounding approach is designed to deliver stable, palatable, easy-to-use, and high-quality formulations that support product differentiation and patient acceptance.

  • pH Stabilization: Optimize pH for API stability, solubility, and shelf-life.
  • Viscosity Control: Improve suspension stability, pourability, and redispersion.
  • Taste Masking: Use sweeteners and flavors to enhance palatability and compliance.
  • Preservative Efficacy: Ensure robust microbial protection throughout shelf-life.
  • Quality & Stability: Deliver consistent, scalable, market-ready liquid formulations.
